Alfred's Essentials of Music Theory, Version 2.0- Complete Student
Fall 2003 SoftwareReview:
Having used Alfred's textbook series for several years, the software
companion, Alfred's Essentials of Music Theory, Version 2.0- Complete
Student, is one of the best introductions to music theory on the market
today.
Although the material is geared toward younger minds, the exercises are relevant to all beginning musicians regardless off age. However, this program is not for someone with casual interest in music; it is specifically designed as a companion for students seriously studying an instrument.
Using narration and animated examples helps students of any age build a solid understanding of music theory. This software will best serve students who wish to learn the basics of music theory on their own (or who need extra practice on topics they are studying in a class).
