The Land of Nod- Musical Verses Vol. 1
Fall 2004 MusicReview:
Everything about this lullaby release is lovely: the image-rich, imagination-stirring poems by Robert Louis Stevenson, Walter de la Mare, Tennyson and others, the pretty melodies by golden-voiced Ellen Kjelgaard Godula and co-composer Brian Godula and even the CD's packaging, filled with quaint illustrations from yesteryear. Like recording artist Ted Jacobs has done with his memorably inspired CDs of recent years, "A Child's Garden of Songs" and "The Days Gone By," the Godulas offer an irresistible invitation to listeners of any age to discover (or re-discover) the beauty and magic to be found in the poetry of the past.
