Review:
Beth Lambert, who has been on an extended visit with her colorful, overbearing grandmother in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, is very happy to return home to her family and her girls' club, the "Pretty Pennies" - not to mention, Phillip Hall. Her club is now being led by an unimaginative, rule- making tyrant. And, feeling estranged from her special friend, Phillip Hall, she tells him a lie about her time in Walnut Ridge in order to make him jealous.

After a long absence, it is wonderful to read again about this bright heroine - who hasn't aged a bit.
