Review:
At seventeen, Annalyn's military career yields appalling discoveries. Nothing and nobody are as they seem. Her adored half brother tells her about mind-transfer chips which have been embedded in the brains of the ruling class at birth. These chips can transfer the minds of people, once human, into a series of androids. Aghast at the possibility that her brain contains such a chip, Annalyn's discovery that her brother is not horrified begins her reluctant alienation from her hero. The author reveals to readers that the quest for maturity and humanity can be difficult and disillusioning - but worth it.
