Factor Frenzy is a fast-paced electronic game that can be used to strengthen multiplication and division math skills. Three game options are given (multiplication, division, and anything goes) and there are two levels of play. For level one, questions are asked in a straightforward manner with questions such as "five times three equals what?" For level two, players must find the missing factor in the equation. An example question for level two is "five times what equals fifteen?" The varied presentation of questions encourages good listening skills. Players "ring in" and be the first to correctly answer questions. Correct answers are rewarded with points, while wrong answers result in a loss of points. The winner and final scores are announced at the end of each round.

We encountered one problem, but anticipate another. We found that the game has to be played on a firm surface. If the mat is used on carpeting or any soft or uneven surface, some responses are not registered by the game, or the game will indicate a response other than that which was pressed. The mat came folded in its original box, and the anticipated problem is that bending and flexing of the mat in this type of storage will over time, lead to breaks in internal contacts or wires. The use and care instructions address only moisture and puncture as conditions to avoid.
