Review:
The object of this fun family board game is to be the first to complete a Lego model. Players race around the board trying to accumulate the right pieces to build the model specified on their card.

The game uses 118 Lego building blocks that are placed on matching pictures in the center of a circular game board. Players (2 - 4 can play) choose a colored card for the round of play. Players take turns rolling a die and traveling around the board collecting needed pieces as directed on the board. Spaces on the board specify collecting one or two pieces from the three color-coded zones on the board. The first player to collect all their pieces and create their model wins the game.

Each of the simple models uses 17 or 18 Lego pieces and includes animals, robots, racers, construction vehicles, and a boat. They are easy to assemble by following the typical step-by-step Lego instructions on the model card.

Little strategy is involved in the game except when a player lands on a "Place another player's piece back on the board" space. Here a player can return a competitor's piece to the board and slow someone down who is close to finishing. A good, but underutilized late game tactic, is to move to one of these spaces when landing on a helicopter space. Helicopter spaces allow you to move to any space on the board.

Most of the models are miniatures that are fun to play with. This is especially true for the wheeled variety. The concern here is that the models get separated from the game box and end up in a Lego pile somewhere else. Careful game set up is a good inventory control measure to be sure all pieces are present. Extra building pieces (of the small, easy to lose type) are included in the game.
