NAMiTS, The Game of Think
Fall 2004 ToysReview:
This handy little packet of 20 cards on a ring lists categories to be named. Some examples: the card that says "Name different types of . . ." is followed by cards that include such varied categories as pizza , weather, holidays, vehicles, professions, insects, circus acts, jewelry, The card that requests "Name things that are ..." is followed by adjectives like chewy, important, hot, fuzzy, tight, spicy, sticky, wavy. There is a total of 165 categories.
The packet is small enough for a parent to keep in a purse, pocket, or glove compartment ready to play on a moment's notice in the supermarket checkout line, doctor's waiting room, long drive, or other situations that bore children. Keep it fun, and kids will painlessly expand their vocabulary and make word associations.
