AxTelevision: Come Outta That Shell
Spring 2005 Home VideoReview:
Attention, budding Steven Spielbergs, this video is for you. Come Outta That Shell is a film about making a film. Creature designer Steve Axtell and his crew build amazing puppets, make sets, write music, and use computers to create special effects for a real movie about two friends.
Not only is the video inspiring -- you'll want to sit and create your own drawings and puppets as you watch them do their fascinating work, but the story acted out by the puppets is one of friendship and courage. One friend runs away and the other friend is scared to try to find him in a forest. The making of the movie is a journey in creativity; the movie itself is amusing enjoyment.
