Perfume ScienceFall 2005 Toys
Young scientists mix the different oils to develop their own fragrance formulas, while learning the importance of using proper "laboratory" techniques such as experiment preparation, filtration, measuring, labeling and even cleaning of containers and equipment.
Our testers' lab notes concluded that none of the fragrances created was offensive. And, just in case promising perfumers are tempted to taste their creations, a bitter substance is placed in each of the oil mixtures to serve as a deterrent. Adult supervision is essential during the mixing and preparation of the products.
