Bully 911

Spring 2007 DVD

DVD Price: $24.99
Review:
The statistics are unbelievable: half of all middle schools report bullying weekly. The first 10 minutes of this DVD is a discussion among a group of kids, parents, educators and experts talking about how bullying affects self esteem and studying habits.

But then the meat of the video kicks in—instructions for practical and effective techniques to deal with bully attacks. Noel and Johnny Gryo, self-defense experts, use two boys (one much larger than the other) to demonstrate how to fend off mild, moderate and major bully attacks. What to do when someone grabs you, when someone pulls hair or gets you in a head lock or a shoulder grab. These real techniques are meant to be watched and practiced with parents, over and over. Not only will your bullied child have more self confidence, but he or she will have the real-world method of defense if needed.
