Peep and the Big Wide World

Peep and the Big Wide World

Spring 2007 Television
Ages: 2 - 5 yrs.
Network: Discovery Kids Channel
Review:
Curiosity may have spelled trouble for the cat, but it represents a world of fun and adventure for Peep, Chirp and Quack, three feathered friends who live near a pond in a big, colorful urban park. Newly hatched and full of moxy, the friends explore the world around them, learning important fundamental skills on their many adventures. Each half-hour episode includes two animated tales, that address concepts such as sorting objects by category or the importance of practicing a new skill. A live-action segment featuring a diverse group of kids accompanies each story and offers clever, real-life demonstrations and experiments to compliment the day’s lessons. Joan Cusack’s narration is just top notch as is Taj Mahal’s catchy theme music.
