Nick News With Linda Ellerbee

Nick News With Linda Ellerbee

Spring 2008 Television
Ages: 6 - 14 yrs.
Network: Nickelodeon
Review:
It's difficult to imagine a show that is more educational (intellectually, emotionally, socially and spiritually) than is "Nick News" fronted by the incomparable and near-heroic Linda Ellerbee. Not only does this series open the door to new and unexplored worlds like pariah children in India and the autistic; it does so in a fashion that never speaks down to the audience of kids and young teens. It's small wonder this series has consistently been cited as a bold beacon in a sea of ordinary followers. Ellerbee's extraordinary show is courageous, educational, enlightening, even-handed and provocative. Those who produce documentaries for grown-ups could learn a thing or two from watching "Nick News."
