Review:
Telemakos, the half-Aksumite, half-British grandson of King Arthur, and his younger sister, Athena, have been sent across the Red Sea to the kingdom of Himyar to keep them safe. After King Abreha, his assigned protector, catches Telemakos spying, he is imprisoned and separated from his beloved sister. Aware that Abreha is planning to conquer rich islands belonging to Aksum, Telemarkos is in a fever to warn his people. Knowing that his letters to his mother must be approved by Abreha before they are sent, Telemakos tries to encode warnings in the letters. In beautifully crafted prose, the author brings the details of such an utterly remote time and place to life in this suspense-filled tale.
