Ages: 4 - 8 yrs.
Network: PBS
Review:
Everyone’s favorite aardvark Arthur has proven to be as enduring as he is endearing. Premiering on PBS in 1996, this animated program continues to fascinate kids aged four to eight with clear and concise scripts that address kid-friendly themes. Best of all, sensitive scriptwriters know that in real life, problems don’t always play out the way we think they will so it’s good to acquire the social and reasoning skills that will help you deal with life’s curveballs. Too many children’s programs dish up oversimplified storylines and the characters employ cookie-cutter solutions. Arthur really does model logical and sensitive communication skills and still manage to maintain a fun and entertaining pace.
