Review:If one could impose a theme to Vanessa Trien's second album of primarily original music for children, it would be to celebrate all the joys life has to offer. Songs such as the Caribbean flavored title track, the joyful "Let Us Sing," the movement inducing "Dance Party," and the bluegrass infused "Wake up the Barn" are all designed for fun. Trien provides many stylistic changes from the jazzy arrangement of "Down in the Ground," to the swinging acapella celebration of impending new siblings in "Big Brother," and a nice Motown influenced stomp on her cover of Johnny Nash's classic "I See Clearly Now." The album's one traditional song "Five Little Monkeys" is done as a grin inducing Cajun stomp.
