Review:
Tony Award-nominated composer Lucy Simon ("The Secret Garden") and rock icon Carly Simon ("You're So Vain") began as a folk music sister act in the 1960s. These gentle lullabies and playful rhymes, set to music composed by Lucy, were previously released by Columbia Records in 1969 and 1973. In duets and a sprinkling of solos, Lucy's tender soprano and Carly's husky contralto render such poetic classics as "Who Has Seen the Wind?" by Christine Rossetti, Eugene Field's "Wynken, Blynken and Nod," Edward Lear's "Calico Pie" and Robert Louis Stevenson's "The Lamplighter."
