Review:
Promising paleontologists will love learning about dinosaurs and fossils with Leapster's Digging for Dinosaurs. The game brings the dig to life letting the child progress from digging up bones to assembling a dinosaur skeleton in a museum.

The games include On the Trail, where the player helps the dinosaur get back to its nest; Egg Alert, where they help the dinosaur protects its eggs; Feeding Time, where players learn what dinosaurs eat; and Dinosaur Match where they learn facts such as what type of beaks, scales or tails dinosaurs have. There are different levels (1-3) within the games, so players are able to advance and acquire a greater number of points per game, which coincides with the difficulty of the game. For instance, when a game is completed in level 1, the player gets 5 points, level two gets 10, and level 3 gets 25 points. When the player earns 100 points, he or she is able to go on an archaeological dig and then pick different tools to reveal dinosaur bones under the rocks and dirt. Once the dinosaur skeleton is put together in an exhibit, the player learns about that specific classification of dinosaur. Families with dinosaur enthusiasts in their midst will be delighted with this find.
