Review:
Pete Cassidy, a teenager searching for a close relationship with God, meets a captivating hitchhiker whose travels bring him to Pete's hometown to preach the Good News. After hearing the "Man" speak in a local church revival meeting, Pete believes he's been "saved." In fact, the "Man" invites Pete to travel with him on his quest to save souls. However, as the duo is ready to leave town, Pete discovers that he has put his trust in a charlatan.

Though Pete's particular quest is somewhat unusual, his feeling of displacement from his family and the community in which he has been raised is a relatable, even universal predicament in a young boy's life.

In an appealing and approachable voice, Keith Nobbs captures the curious, at times uncertain, voice of a child searching for understanding.
