Review:
Newt is the typical underdog, who never seems to have the occasion to force himself out of his comfort zone. When his football hero brother is seriously injured, however, Newt needs to step up and find his own strength. JJ and Cecil, Newt's friends, in an effort to cheer him up, encourage him to dress up for Halloween. What begins as a simple costume, turns into Newt's alter-ego, Captain Nobody. Captain Nobody is the fictitious, "brave" version of Newt and allows Newt to be a new and audacious boy, and, for once, become the family hero.

The characters are well described and their voices are animated and entertaining. JJ and Cecil's personalities are particularly exaggerated, almost cartoonish, which adds welcome comic relief to what otherwise could be a more somber story. But JJ and Cecil are credible friends, who not only encourage Newt to be more confident, but, through their adventures, allow him to escape the new difficulties he is facing at home.
