Review:
Cobblestone is a good magazine for kids (and even adults) who want to learn more about American History, in interesting and manageable doses. The editors present an intriguing range of stories with each issue: July-August 2009, for example: American Inventions, includes creations from A to Z, Airplanes to Zippers, each designed, illustrated, and written in a different way, underscoring the attributes of each creation. Some stories are short (like sidebars), and others are several pages in length. Trivia, humor, a recommended reading list and citations are included.
