Chirp offers children ages 3 - 6 a variety of activities to complete including puzzles, recipes, craft projects and coloring pages in addition to stories. Examples include: identifying parts of the face, matching an object to its shadow, and creating a mini-kite. Each issue features a different animal such as chimpanzees, pufferfish, and giant tortoises. Sections are clearly identified and labeled, which allow children to easily find their favorite activity or story. Our panelists were pleased with several issues that included activities that could be completed then cut out to share or showcase.

Editor's Note: Chirp might be a bit too advanced for some three year olds but is perfect for ages four and up.
