Review:
The Disney Princess and the Frog Leapster title features a set of games for ages 4 to 7 that star the characters from the movie and focus on some basic skills such as letter recognition, word building, and early math skills. Playing each game earns "Dreamhearts" that unlock decorations for the Tiana and Naveen's wedding.

In Cooking With Tiana, a real-world application of math, players count ingredients and chop them into specified numbers of pieces to add to Tiana's gumbo. Other games make good use of the movie and its characters too, including a side-scrolling game where Ray lights the way to Mama Odie's house, as the player helps Ray avoid obstacles and find the correct letters.

From an educator's point of view, this game veers from the movie's focus-- Tiana's dream was primarily about opening her restaurant--and follows many other princess games that over emphasize the wedding and underestimate the learning potential the film's storyline offered.
