Review:

Based on the wildly popular books by Walter Wick, the premise here is the same: find the objects hidden in the different rooms of the spooky mansion. When you locate an object, tap it and the object is highlighted and circled. A player must find all of the objects to solve each of 21 riddles and find seven different keys to exit the house. The game is a bit long, but it's one that's easy to leave and come back to. It's also good for two players.

The excellent design includes a soundtrack of "spooky" music, fun sound effects and illustration. This may not offer direct academic lessons, but gameplay requires keen observation, concentration and focus. In addition, words are spoken along with the text, and then highlighted when objects are found-reinforcing reading skills for youngsters.

Note: For those concerned about advertising, there is a button on the home page where players can purchase and download additional games.
