Spring 2010 Toys
Ages: 4 - 8 yrs.
Manufacturer: LeapFrog Enterprises
Price: $49.99
Made of durable plastic and easy for young hands to manipulate, this 2.1 Mega Pixel camera has an automatic shut off -- just in case the photographer forgets to turn it off. The camera can be programmed to "talk" when taking pictures (saying things such as "Great shot" and "bye bye").

The software is easy to install and use and features an editing program, a make your own book component, and games. The editing center is similar to other editing programs and allows picture editors to crop, add colors or effects. The book component let users use their pictures to make a book (such as "All about me") or write a story using the pictures they've taken. The games include memory, a puzzle type game, and a question and answer game (i.e. what part of the camera provides extra light- flash). Kids can store up to 100 pictures at a time. For young ones who express an interest in photography this camera is a good way to test the strength of their convictions.
