 THE BIG GIANTS-

THE BIG GIANTS- "Fee Fi Fo Fun!"

Fall 2010 Music
Ages: 2 & Up
CD Price: $15.00
Review:

The redundantly titled Big Giants is a trio of musicians making music to which Generation X parents will relate. The ex-lead vocalist of the now defunct punk group Revenge of the Egg People, Chris Wojtowicz (or Big Cash) fronts them on guitar, bass and vocals. He is joined by Mike Palermo (Big Mike) from the Canadian rock group Free Spirit, on guitar, piano and bass, as well as Bryan Holtam (aka: Big Bug) on drums. The music on Fee Fi Fo Fun! can best be described as grunge-lite for kids, and it features such perky little numbers as "Come On, Let's Hop!," "I Want Hugs," "We're Friends," "We Pick Our Toys Up," " We Will Brush Our Teeth," and other simple sentiments. The trio dresses in matching lumberjack outfits and look like the Talking Heads meets Paul Bunyan. Their music is certainly a wee bit over the top, and depending on your sensibilities, they could be discerned as fun or slightly obnoxious. No great lessons or insights are attempted, except the standard sentiments of friendship, family and the joys of childhood. Fee Fi Fo Fun! is a silly and enjoyable little CD, but might not be everyone's cup of tea.
