Jeepers Peepers

Jeepers Peepers

Spring 2011 Games
Ages: 5 & Up
Price: $39.95

Jeepers Peepers is a fun guessing game for children of all ages. Each player is given a pair of glasses (six pairs are included). The glasses, themselves a fun toy that will have everyone looking silly, have a special slot in which a photo card can be placed. The players cannot see the picture in their glasses and each person gets to ask one "yes"/"no" question during their turn until they think they can guess their picture. Once a person has guessed their picture, they get to spin the spinner and get the corresponding number of tokens. The person with the most tokens wins. The game also comes with cue cards to help prompt the child with the types of questions to ask. The cue card has five pictures to cue the person to ask questions about the size, color, use, shape, and location of the item as well as in what category the picture falls (such as transportation, person, thing, food, animal). These cue cards are particularly useful for the younger player. This game fosters problem solving and communication skills. It's fun and appealing to children of all ages.

While similar to other games, this is still a fun game that most will enjoy. Our testers really liked wearing the glasses. I really liked the brightly colored real life pictures. The only caveat we wish to note is the electronic spinner which, while novel, does not enhance game play and does raise the price of the game. Still, this is a wholesome game overall that the whole family can enjoy.
