Good Morning My Love
Spring 2012 MusicIt may have been Vered's studies in music therapy and clinical psychology that inspired her to create this album to support the theories she was studying. However, if you've ever experienced a moment of pure joy, then you won't need similar training to know precisely what fuels this CD.
From the opening title track with warmth enough to melt the polar ice cap, the love, understanding, and humor emerge in Hands in My Mouth ("You know I like I like my hands in my mouth"). "Don't Leave Me" ("Mama leave me be, but don't leave me") celebrates learning to stand and fully recognizes that at each stage children want independence and help. On the ebullient "Sunday" ("I've got Mommy and Daddy all day"), the not so subtle subtext is that Mommy and Daddy are thrilled to have baby all day too. "New Words" is an utterly delightful recitation. Circumspect, insightful, and filled with joy, this sixteen track gem magically and perfectly captures slices of a parent and infant's new world.
