SunyaSpring 2012 Games
Sunya is a card game in which players try to complete number sentences (each game can be only one of addition, subtraction, or multiplication) to use up the numbered cards in their hands. As in UNO or Crazy Eights, players draw cards until something can be played, though the range of values is small enough that one seldom ends up with the fistfuls of cards of the more classic games. The game is practical and functional. It would be a nice break from classroom drills and could be a way to encourage children who are learning their math facts to practice them independently of their teacher.
