Review:

Here's a quick and compact simple road game. First you spot and name the matching image on two cards, and then you find that image on the road. The first player to find it wins the card and the player who wins the most cards out of the 55-card deck, wins the game.

A downside is the driver can't play, unless you bypass matching the image between cards. But a more serious problem is finding the objects on the cards. Our reviewer in the Pacific Northwest, where you can drive hours on a road trip and see nothing but trees, had difficulty finding the objects. This has as much to do with geography and driving habits as anything else, but it's worth noting. That said, the objects to find are things like basketball hoop, taxi, mailbox and school bus. Nothing is too uncommon, and those who tend to drive in cities or densely populated suburbs will have an easier time finding them while on the road.

Spot It: On the Road is a simple game to play for all ages and comes in a cute round tin that fits nicely in a seat pocket. Kids loved the concept, and found it possible to play with the cards even when they had trouble finding the objects in real life.
