The Blingles Bling Studio is a craft and decoration kit. Children use small "jewels" and apply them to a variety of surfaces, in any design of their choosing. Many patterns are provided but children may make up their own. The toy encourages creativity, design, and personal expression. Both boys and girls enjoyed using it.

We like the concept of this "complete design studio," and the completed designs, when successfully placed, are attractive and satisfying. It is a more complex set than a simple sticker activity, and it is certainly a step-up in the creative process from that. The first pad is slightly sticky, to keep the jewels in place; you put a more sticky pad on top to remove the jewels. For younger children, the need for advanced fine motor skills to complete this process was sometimes frustrating, and jewels were lost along the way. With a few refinements at home, it could be a satisfying rather than a frustrating creative process.
