Review:

With a title so close to that of Led Zeppelin's 1973 hit album ("Houses of the Holy"), it isn't surprising that the Rolie Polie Guacamole band has shaped classic, family-friendly cover songs with muscular harmonies, deft instrumental layers and a heady mix of rock, folk and funk. The selections are both playful and resonant. Among the tracks are Tom Paxton's "Going to the Zoo," Harry Nillson's "Coconut," the Beatles' "Octopus' Garden," and Joni Mitchell's "Circle Game." The Rolie Polie band members-lead singer and guitarist Frank Gallo, singer and bassist Andrew Tuzhilin and drummer Christian McCarthy-are joined by notable family music artists Brady Rymer, Suzi Shelton, Lou Gallo, Justin Lansing (one half of the Okee Dokee Brothers) and other polished musicians.
