Review:

Kiki's tag line - "For girls with style and substance" - describes their content to a tee. This quarterly magazine for girls eight and up promotes style in a positive and empowering way. The clear message in each issue is: be smart, be strong, be good.

The magazine highlights brains, hard work, ingenuity and innovation. They feature interesting profiles of people in fashion, plus wonderful travel and history features. Each issue includes fun DIY projects, great recipes, instructional articles and sewing tips, and the Kiki Book Club offers great reading recommendations. Two regular features—"Behind the Brand" and "Take Stock"—emphasize the importance of good business know-how. There are also well-written pieces about more general teen topics, like overcoming shyness, appreciating grandparents and handling sibling conflict.

No celebrities, no dating or diet tips—this is just a great smart magazine for girls.
