Review:

KidSpirit is published quarterly and targeted to thoughtful teenage readers. All of its content is available for free online, however print copies can also be ordered from the site for a fee.

The magazine routinely addresses complex philosophical questions about such things as faith, ethics and morality in a serious way. Each issue has a theme, chosen by its teenage editorial board, and the magazine actively promotes the writing, poetry and artwork of its (mostly) teen contributors.

The articles are thorough and engaging and on topical subjects. Short essays in a feature called "Awesome Moments" are well-written, and the regular book reviews are insightful.

A recent issue addressed "The God Question." It featured compelling and well-researched essays and articles addressing questions about science and religion, and it explored how people of different faiths and culture - religious or not - coexist. Other recent issue themes have been "Exploring Humor," and "Creativity and Imagination."

KidSpirit promotes smart prose on interesting topics. The material is interesting and rich; a good choice for teen readers.
