Review:

London's most famous puzzle master, Professor Layton, is back in an all-new adventure for Nintendo 3DS. Joining the Professor are his faithful assistant, Emmy, and ever-present apprentice, Luke. Here, Professor Layton receives a mysterious letter from his childhood friend, Angela Ledore, who asks for his help solving the mystery of the Masked Gentleman of Monte d'Or. Players explore the colorful environment, gather clues, speak to townspeople, and search for hidden areas. Although considered a "puzzle game," the puzzles are actually woven into the story so that there is a variety of non-puzzle play as well. For something a little different from the main course of the game, there are individual mini-games. And, for additional fun, players are able to download a puzzle a day for an entire year. The puzzles require players to use hand-eye coordination, visualization skills, logic, and spatial awareness. Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask is a fun, challenging, and engaging game that will provide hours of entertainment.
