This is a problem solving game in which players dig tunnels and manipulate ice, water and steam to allow Perry (the platypus from Phineas and Ferb) to go to the briefing room.

In a given level, you may either use or avoid flammable oil, use a laser to turn water into steam, and then dig tunnels so the water flows to Perry. The app has long term play value; our entire family (parents included) could play it for hours. The levels become harder as you progress, but they do not become frustrating.

Children will become familiar with basic physics concepts as they play; they will see that water flows only down with gravity, while steam fills the entire space it is in across all directions. They can use lasers in the game to heat up the water into steam.

Overall, we highly recommend this app. It teaches strategy, physics and problem solving while providing long-lasting entertainment for all ages. It can be a bit difficult for the younger end of the recommended age range, but we found that children were happy to repeatedly attempt levels until they could solve them. At one point as our 6-year-old was playing this game, she turned to her dad and said: "Can you help me figure out the strategy?" That's one of my favorite questions to hear from her.
