Review:

There's something innately charming about punctuation, and the characters in exclamation mark don't disappoint. Through whimsical illustrations and spare, snappy text, this author/illustrator team introduces young readers to a shy but very personable exclamation mark—one who struggles to fit in among his more subtle punctuating peers.

He tries, but fails, to blend in with the periods. He feels conspicuous, and out of place. That is, until question mark comes bounding in with his unabashed curiosity and demonstrates how to just be.

This is a fun story about celebrating that unique thing in all of us.

Rosenthal and Lichtenfield also teamed up on New York Times bestseller Duck! Rabbit!, an equally delightful story about differing points of view, and Wumbers, a book of numerical word play.
