Review:

Farkle Around is a face-paced game for three or more players in which players try to match up all 6 of their dice on a game board. It comes with 12 dice, two shaker cups, and 55 game cards. Whoever is the first to fill his or her card earns the points on that card. The first person to get 10,000 points wins.

There are two sets of color dice (burgundy and ivory) and two sides on the face of each card, one depicting six ivory dice and the other depicting six burgundy ones. At the beginning of a round, a new card is turned over onto the playing area. The player who has the six burgundy dice will roll them and try to match the burgundy numbers on the card. Dice are placed on the matching number on the card as they are rolled. Once a player has matched all the numbers in his roll, he passes the dice and waits for the next set to be passed to him. When a player has the ivory dice, she follows the same instructions. Whoever places the last die on the card first, wins the points assigned to that card. Play continues until someone gets 10,000 points.

Farkle Around is based on speed and luck rather than skill. We had to remind our younger players this a few times as they occasionally got frustrated if they didn't roll a match. However, it was a fun game the whole family could enjoy.
