Review:

Ansel and Clair are extremely engaging narrators who make hearty educational content fun. In Triassic Dinosaurs, they start off in a spaceship and then travel back in time. First stop is the present day, where they meet a friendly paleontologist named Mr. Bones. He gives a nice overview of what he does and the tools he uses, then users can dig and reassemble their own fossils interactively. The sound effects and screen simulations are great. Next Ansel and Clair travel to the Triassic period, a screen packed with interesting creatures and plants to explore. Evaluators appreciated the specific, current information provided about the era. The app keeps strictly to the Triassic period and cites specific studies from as recently as 2011.

Ansel and Clair travel with a backpack that has a log and a camera so users can collect and record data, and even email it to others. For fun, users can also create their own dinosaur by experimenting with different tails, scales and body types.

This app has broad, interesting content, and is very engaging. Since there is so much to learn here, children will find definite long-term play value. It is formatted in a way where users can do this in long marathon sessions, or leave and come back multiple times. The design is great, it's fun and bright and easy to navigate, and the narrators are endearing.
