Review:

Dinosaurs may get angry with their parents, but they know how to behave. They don't throw things, or slam doors, or yell, or pout (unlike certain children who may be reading this book). Like the other books in this toddler etiquette series, such as How Do Dinosaurs Say Good Night?, this one shows how children (I mean, dinosaurs) misbehave, and then suggests more acceptable behaviors. Like the others in the series, it is cleverly rhymed and appealingly illustrated, and captures a variety of troublesome childhood tendencies that young readers will recognize and giggle at. Learning how to deal with anger is a central preoccupation of many children's books written for this age range, and Yolen and Teague's newest book in their series is testament to a formula that works. Children and their parents will enjoy reading about this latest kind of trouble that dinosaurs can get themselves into-and, more importantly, out of.
