Review:

Ah, Daisy gallumps again! This gentle misadventure finds Daisy forgetting her precious ball in order to chase a squirrel. With her brown, floppy ears streaming behind her, Daisy gives chase, until the squirrel quite naturally runs up a tree. As Daisy stands with her front legs braced against the tree, the thought dawns on her that she doesn't know where she is. She is lost.

Raschka captures the emotions of a little dog and her girl with the simplest of watercolor brush strokes. How he can invest the broad and brief outlines of Daisy with endearing personality is quite amazing. The youngest of children can understand Daisy's dilemma—which has a happy ending, of course.
