In A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving storytelling app, beloved Peanuts character Charlie Brown is feeling cantankerous and depressed due to the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. As per usual, the rest of the Peanuts gang all collaborate to exacerbate the problem and ultimately solve it too, while throwing in a bit of a history lesson told with animated objects.

The story begins when Peppermint Patty calls Charlie at home and invites herself over to Charlie's house for Thanksgiving dinner. In fact, while she's at it, she invites Marcie and Franklin too. The problem is, Charlie won't even be home, he's headed to his Grandmother's house with the rest of his family. How is Charlie going to solve this problem?

Linus, Snoopy and Woodstock all make appearances to help Charlie Brown cook a friendly Thanksgiving dinner before Charlie leaves for his Grandma's house. Charlie's not such a great cook but Snoopy and Woodstock jump in to help out and hilarity ensues. Is a fabulous feast of popcorn, toast and candy the kind of dinner everyone is hoping for? Read on as a diatribe from Peppermint Patty sends Charlie into a tailspin until Grandma saves the day.

Throughout the story animated objects bob about, and animated sequences that are prompted by arrows keep readers interacting with the screen. A brief history lesson provides information about the first Thanksgiving and the philosophy behind the holiday while the antics of the Peanuts characters combined with lots of layered, colorful artwork keep this app visually engaging. For anyone whose family has succumbed to the stress of putting on a successful family dinner, or for anyone who is a fan of the classic Peanuts capers, and for everyone in between, this app is sure to be an entertaining and mildly educational reading adventure.
