Pet Bingo - by Duck Duck MooseSpring 2014 Mobile Apps
Pet Bingo is a math game designed for children K-4 with an emphasis on Common Core State Standards. And yes, it's appealing and fun to play.
In the Pet Store, players are prompted to select a math task (addition, multiplication, subtraction, division) and a level of difficulty, easy, medium or hard. The game adapts to the child's skill level and progress—always keeping pace with the challenges and the fun.
The game interface is a rectangle with the problem on the left and a selection of potential answers arranged in a grid of 25 squares to the right. Each correct answer adds an animated creature to the appropriate square. A wrong answer eliminates that square making it harder to get Bingo. Each successful Bingo earns the player a new animated pet to name. Subsequent wins earn food to feed pets in the Pet Pen. For players who need assistance, teacher-developed hints do more than help solve the math problem; they visually demonstrate the math concepts so youngsters can understand and learn. The report card tool not only offers parents and teachers a way to keep tabs on each player's progress, it also provides additional activities to build skills via more than 70 learning goals.
Another beautifully crafted, fun-filled, and solidly educational app from Duck Duck Moose.
