Review:

The Aero Zipp is a surprisingly effective long-distance ball launcher. Its simple swinging-arm design launches hollow golf ball-like plastic balls using a catapult motion. The balls themselves, lightweight and dimpled, are an important component to the effectiveness of the design, with low drag and easy loft.

The Aero Zipp did indeed send balls nearly the full 200 feet as advertised, and the learning curve for achieving maximum distance was small. Within fifteen minutes of picking up the Aero Zipp, one tester unadvisedly launched a ball towards the roof, only to see it clear the ridge two stories up and vanish (the neon-colored ball was located some distance down the street after a protracted search in the roof gutters on the far side, as none could conceive that it would have gone THAT far beyond the house).

Enthusiastic parents will be able to use the Aero Zipp to demonstrate some classical physics concepts for their kids, aided by the box's own diagrams, if the children are willing to give up the fun of sending the balls hurtling into the neighbors' yards long enough to let them try it.
