KARMA, the card game, is a clever game of elimination in which players work to get rid of all their cards. But here, there can be more than one winner; the loser is the last player to hold cards in her hand.

As each player is dealt 9 cards, she or he blindly selects 3 cards (Table Cards) to line up face down in a row in front of him/her. Rule #1: Players may not look at these Table Cards prior to being played. Next, each player choose 3 cards from his/her hand (Hand Cards) and places one on top of each of her face-down Table Cards. Rule #2: See Rule #1. Rule #3:: All Hand Cards must be played prior to playing any Table Cards. On each turn, players must play a hand card with a number equal to or higher than the card on the top of the discard pile. If a player cannot do so, he must take the full discard pile and add it to play.

Added Twists: Face Up Table Cards can be played only after the draw pile has been depleted and all Hand Cards have been played. And the Face Up cards must be played before using the Face Down Table Cards. Oh— and the Face Down cards are an added surprise. Their value will be revealed only when they are put into play.

In trouble? KARMA CARDS (Give the Pile to a Friend, Play a Table Card, Bottoms Up, Five or Below) can be used as wild cards. But think and play carefully; Karma, the principle, is the fundamental definition of cause and effect. Or as the saying goes, what goes around comes around. For 2-6 players, ages 8 and up.
