Review:

I Imagine is a free story app intended to teach children about the fun of using their imaginations for playtime.

To that end, the app lets the reader customize the three characters in the story; a child, a parent/adult and a human-like toy by choosing gender, a skin color, a hairstyle, hair color and clothes. Options to upload a photo from one's gallery and record the characters' names are available. After the characters are created, the story begins at home with all three characters together. The adult has work to do, so the child goes outside to play in the sandbox with the toy. Various scenarios are presented in which the child is offered different activities to do while the parent is working close by. Numerous illustrated objects are interactive, like a train and blocks. After suggesting playing in the sandbox and with the train set, the adult puts out crayons and paint for the child. The adult finally gives up trying to work with the child around and suggests she play in her room. She turns to her toy and they start to play together. They dress the teddy bear and dance together. The parent comes back to the room and thanks her for using her imagination to play in her room.

Although the story itself doesn't vary, young players enjoyed changing characters and recording different names. But creator beware: there isn't a way to save a set of characters, so edit judiciously.
