Review:

Wish fulfillment is every kid's dream. But like the old adage says, be careful what you wish for. That's the recurring them in this veteran cartoon from Nickelodeon. Timmy Turner is your typical 10 year-old-except that he has Wanda and Cosmo for a pair of odd fairy godparents. This wacky couple has great intentions, but bad ideas; more often than not Timmy's wishes go horribly wrong. The second longest running animated show for the network (SpongeBob is the first), Fairly Odd Parents has enjoyed a resurgence of sorts recently with a new TV movie and a new character. Sparky is Timmy's fairy dog, and, like his godparents, enjoys the hi-jinx of the know-it-all Wanda, the clumsiness of Cosmo and their magical baby Poof. The 9th and latest season explores more misadventures as Timmy and gang learn, among other things, that time travel is relative, getting stuck in board game is anything but boring and most importantly, choose your bedtime stories wisely. Educational value? Not found here. Fans of the show will be happy to know even after all of this time, it still hasn't lost all of its goofiness.
