Rock the Park

Rock the Park

Spring 2015 Television
Ages: 13 - 16 yrs.
Rating: TV G

It's no secret. Our National Parks are among our country's greatest treasures. These pristine, awe-inspiring natural wonders belong to us all and hosts Jack Steward and Colton Smith want to make sure viewers know it. In addition to beautiful footage, Rock the Park offers great information, especially for vacation planning. A one mile hike doesn't sound like much, until you learn it's all uphill, as the hosts take us through Olympia National Park. A combination of travel, adventure and information, the show is, pardon the pun, very down to earth appealing especially to younger hikers. It's not uncommon to hear "Oh dude, that is so cool." It's also nice to see that even travel experts can misjudge tides, have to rework plans and even have wardrobe malfunctions - just like typical tourists. Steward and Smith have a genuine wonder and excitement about their discoveries and serve as inspiration to get out and enjoy our county's National Parks.
