Spirit Animals
Spring 2015 Mobile AppsSpirit Animals is a companion app to the New York Times Best-selling book series of the same name. In the magical land of Erdas, each child has a special bond with a spirit animal. Players design their character (e.g., select gender, features, etc.), choose their spirit animal and set off for adventure. An ancient threat to Erdas, The Conquerers, have taken over innocent animals; and, the player must free them while collecting a variety of powers, weapons, and armor. Alone or cooperatively in multiplayer mode, children progress through forty levels of game play. If the game by itself isn't enough to get children interested in the book series, try flipping things around. Let reluctant readers know they'll be able to gain access to additional spirit animals through codes they'll read in the books.
