Review:

Tracks 'n' Trains: Zoo Train provides a variety of opportunities for building and playing with digital trains and railroad tracks. The three initial choices are Built Tracks, Build & Play, and My Tracks for those who want to start playing with constructed tracks fully developed. There are nine different tracks to choose from. Symmetry is built over a river in a winter scene, while Flower Power looks like tracks through the countryside in the spring. Once the built track is selected and loaded, there are three options for interacting. One is to manipulate the tracks, i.e. add or subtract horizontal, vertical or circular sections of track; add appropriate scenery and the third is to pick a train to run on the tracks. The three trains are a vintage passenger train, a train for hauling commerce and a modern passenger train. When the train has been selected and placed on the track, it's full steam ahead with an off and on switch and a slider to control the speed. Each scene can be modified or built from scratch and the app is set up to let the player save their new track sets and name them. Fun, pleasing graphics and simple animations make this skill-building app worth exploring.
