Review:

Would you want a lizard as a pet? The young boy in Jonna Carter's accompanying story-tag Frills or No-Frills received such a pet because the unfurling of the lizard's "fan" was pleasing to his entire family. This Frilled Lizard puppet can also unfurl with its "Squeeze Me" button that triggers the pleated flaps of skin (frills) to fan out around the face. Its dark-brown scaly skin and long tail give it a dragon-like appearance, and children will soon be using this toy to portray fantasy or sci-fi characters, from stories they know or create. The close-fitting opening for a hand insertion through the stomach area allows the puppeteer's fingers to enter both the upper and lower jaw areas of the wide mouth. Dexterous puppeteers can extend their fingers farther into the long tiny claws at the ends of the front legs, thus encouraging even more physical exploration that can easily enhance science and storytelling skills.
